MEREDITH – Make-A-Wish New Hampshire will host its 14th Annual Rafting for Wishes fundraising event, set to take place in Meredith Bay and on land at Hesky Park. This event will span 24 hours, kicking off with an opening ceremony on Friday, July 19, at 3:30 p.m. and concluding with a closing ceremony on Saturday, July 20, at 3:30 p.m.
Rafting for Wishes is a unique fundraising event, open to the public, where teams, whether participating virtually or in Meredith, come together to support the mission of Make-A-Wish New Hampshire. Each team, composed of 1-20 participants, is tasked with the goal of “rafting” together over the course of the event. For those participating in Meredith, this means a 24-hour journey on the water, while virtual teams have an 8-hour event at their own location.
“We are incredibly excited to bring back Rafting for Wishes for its 14th year,” said Vice President Community Outreach at Make-A-Wish New Hampshire Nikki Lyons Lahey. “This event not only raises vital funds to help grant wishes for children battling critical illnesses, but it also brings our community together in a fun and meaningful way.”
This event is open to the public. There are activities all weekend for everyone at Hesky Park. Whether attendees would like to play cornhole, fireworks, a glow dance party, yoga and chair massage in the park, face-painting, live music, or other fun; there’s something for the whole family to enjoy.
All teams, whether virtual or participating in Meredith, are encouraged to attend the opening and closing ceremonies
