LACONIA — Lakes Region Scholarship Foundation recently announced its 2025 High School scholarship award recipients.
Executive Director Chris Guilmett said, “We are so grateful to all our donors who deserve the credit for this outpouring of support for our college-bound students.”
Time was set aside at each of the award presentation ceremonies to read the names and acknowledge the awarding donors. This year, LRSF awarded $899,275 to 391 recipients, from entering college freshmen through seniors and graduate students.
Since the inception of the Lakes Region Scholarship Foundation in 1956, through this year’s award season, thanks to the generosity of over 650 donors, not including the thousands who have contributed to specific memorial funds or special fundraisers over the Foundations 69 year history, a total of over $11 million has been awarded to more than 6,661 Lakes Region Students.
Students were presented with their scholarship award packets by Guilmett and Director Karen Switzer along with LRSF board trustees. The award ceremonies took place on awards night celebrations at the area high schools in the Lakes Region. Past years’ graduates pursuing a secondary education will be receiving their award packets in the mail.
