LACONIA — Laconia Christian Academy placed 2nd in the New Hampshire Small Private School Athletic League Soccer playoffs, losing to Mount Zion Christian School on Saturday, Oct. 30.

The team had a tough season, with players being sidelined with injuries and illness, but scored the win against top-seated Jessie Remington, in the semi finals, when they needed it most. During the game, senior goalie Caleb Longval had at least 11 saves, holding Mount Zion to three goals and 9th grader Levi Swearingin, scored the only point for LCA.

Although the end result was a loss of 1-3, it was a hard fought game, in the cold and pouring rain, but the kids didn't give up. It was a win in the eyes of the many fans that showed up to support them. "We have a strong foundation in place with this team and although we will miss the seniors next year, we can focus on the promise the remainder of the team shows going forward," remarked Head Coach Mike Trask.
