Knights of Columbus hold Vietnam War 50th Anniversary Veterans Pin Ceremony

The Laconia Knights of Columbus Assembly 628 conducted a Vietnam War 50th Anniversary Veterans Pin Ceremony on Nov. 7. Veterans from the Vietnam War era were each presented a lapel pin and certificate commemorating their service.  Those honored were: Peter Smith, Brian Clements, Berry Chamberlain, Steve Ortolani, who served in the U.S. Army; Kevin Smith, John Coleman Jr., Kenneth Barrett, James Ryan, Kenneth Crane, who served in the U.S. Navy; and Robert Dupuis, Robert Fitzbag, and Chris Ray, who served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Conducting the ceremony were Bob Dingman (U.S. Navy) from the USS New Jersey Veterans Association and Douglas McBride, chairman of KOC Holy Spirit Disabled Veterans program.  (Courtesy photo/Judy Dingman)
