MEREDITH — Students filled the gym with energy and curiosity as Inter-Lakes Middle High School hosted its annual job fair, bringing together local businesses from across the region. Twenty‑four local employers connected with students, offered on‑the‑spot interviews, and encouraged them to apply for open positions.
The following businesses were in attendance: Ben & Jerry's, Break Away Vacation Rentals, Camp Wanakee, Castle in the Clouds, DeTolla Dental, E.M. Heath Supermarket, Giuseppe's Pizzeria & Ristorante, Golden View Health Care Center, Hannaford Supermarket, Hart's Turkey Farm Restaurant, Identity Coffee, Kellerhaus, Lake Wicwas Lake Coordinator, Lakes Region Community Services, M & Em Enterprises Exterior Home Cleaning, McDonald's, Moulton Farm and Meredith Village Savings Bank.
Students are essential to the summer economy, filling key roles that keep restaurants, shops, grocery stores, camps, marinas and recreation programs running strong. The job fair is coordinated by Melisa Moore, director of the Career Partnership Program, a collaborative effort between the Inter-Lakes School District and The Greater Meredith Program.
Through this partnership, students and businesses are brought together through job shadows, internships, classroom speakers, volunteer opportunities and the job fair. For more information about the Career Partnership Program, contact Melisa.Moore@Interlakes.org.
