MEREDITH  Six Inter-Lakes Middle High School students showcased their strengths in essential financial literacy topics — including income, spending, saving, investing, managing credit, and risk management — earning their place in the Statewide FinLit300 Championship.

After completing an online assessment, six members of the ILMHS FinLit Team — Chris Boksanske, Aiden Price, Alek Pizzuti, Danielle Cornelissen, Hayden Brunell, and team captain, Thea Wright, led by ILMHS Business Teacher Whitney Sullivan— qualified to compete at the statewide FinLit300 Championship in Concord.

Inter-Lakes is one of only six high schools in New Hampshire to earn a spot at the event. Inter-Lakes battled through three close matches that all came down to the final question. They narrowly fell in the elimination round, coming up just two points short against Bow High School, who went on to win the event.

Promoting financial literacy and organizing this statewide competition are key initiatives of the NH Jump$tart coalition, a nonprofit committed to empowering students with essential financial education. NH Jump$tart is a fully volunteer organization with a mission to provide financial education, financial literacy and financial equity for New Hampshire’s youth.
