WOLFEBORO — Historian and bestselling author Heather Cox Richardson will join New Hampshire State Representative Bobbi Boudman, candidate for State Senate District 3, for a special online conversation on Thursday, September 10 at 4 p.m.
Richardson, author of the widely read Letters from an American, is known for placing today’s political events in the broader context of American history. In this conversation, she and Boudman will turn their attention to an essential but often overlooked part of democracy: state and local elections.
While national races receive most of the attention, decisions made by state legislators and other down-ballot officials directly affect public schools, property taxes, healthcare, voting rights, the environment, and the strength of local communities.
Richardson and Boudman will discuss why these races matter, what history can teach about the power of local political engagement, and why electing strong candidates at every level is critical to building lasting change.
There is a suggested donation of $10 or more, proceeds to be shared by downballot candidates.
