Robert H. Moulton, of Huckleberry Road, New Hampton, passed peacefully at his home Aug. 17, 2026.
Robert was born Aug. 4, 1927, in New Hampton village, the son of Ralph and Theodora Moulton, and grew up in Ashland. Drafted into the Army in 1945, he served in Okinawa, Japan, before returning to Ashland, and becoming an electrician through the Army GI Bill. His love of farming was never far from his heart. He spent much of his childhood at his uncle’s Ancestral Acres farm in New Hampton, and moved to the farm in 1952, with his wife Elizabeth, where they spent the rest of their lives.
He was selectman and worked for the highway department while maintaining the farm, and was actively involved with the New Hampshire Maple Producers Association for many years. His love of farm, family and community molded him into the gentle and generous man that he was.
Robert is predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Elizabeth. He is survived by his four sons, Robert of Montana, William of Meredith, Charles and Sherman, both of New Hampton, and four grandchildren.
Per his wishes, there will be no calling hours and burial will be private.
