HOLDERNESS — Join the Squam Lakes Association on Wednesday, April 29, for a hands-on bleach printing program. Using leaves and other interesting materials found in the natural environment, we’ll transform old clothes and fabric into unique creations. Whether you consider yourself an artist or not, this simple process is accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Lakes Region Conservation Corps AmeriCorps member, Macie Kane, will lead the program.
The program is open to all, but because we will be working with bleach, bringing small children is not recommended. All materials are provided, and we will have tote bags available for printing. However, you are encouraged to bring your own old clothing or bags (or anything fabric) to upcycle. This process works best on natural fibers, including denim, cotton and linen.
This program will be held at the SLA building at 534 Route 3 in Holderness, NH from 4 to 6 p.m.
For more information, or to sign up for this Adventure Art program, visit the squamlakes.org or contact the SLA directly at 603-968-7336.
