MEREDITH — Just in time for Election Day, the Friends of the Meredith Public Library group announced their next round of online book auctions is politically themed. Once again, the auctioneer is Orfantiques located in Center Conway.

This auction, which contains 142 lots, is currently live online. The subcategories include biographies of political figures, fictional political thrillers, criminal justice titles, and extensive collections of books on JFK. There are also children's books which help explain the political process to young readers.

Available biographies include prominent modern-day politicians such as Presidents Donald Trump, Joe Biden, Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and George Bush. There are also books about Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama, John McCain, Sarah Palin, and many other contemporary political figures.

Among the many books on historical people and events are titles pertaining to Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, wars, generals, political reporters, and media commentators. Fiction titles include works by James Patterson, John l.e. Carre, and Tom Clancy.

Bidding on each lots starts at just $1. Local pickup in Conway is available. Shipping may also be available depending on the item, but arrangements must be made in advance with the auctioneer on an item-by-item basis.

The auctions can be reached by visiting auctionninja.com/orfantiques and clicking on Friends of the Meredith Library Book Auction.

Money raised from the book auctions will be used (as are proceeds from the bookstore and book sales) to fund supplies and programs at the library including Storytimes, the After-School Drop-In Program for teens, and various adult programs including speakers and promotional prizes as well as food and beverages.
