CONCORD ― A road project on Whittier Hwy in Moultonborough will be discussed in Concord, at the Department of Transportation, at 10 a.m. on Aug. 18. The purpose of the Moultonborough project is to improve safety and access along Route 25.
Improvements propose minor widening and reallocating the existing roadway width, consisting of two 12-foot lanes and eight-foot shoulders, to establish two 12-foot travel lanes, a 12-foot two-way left turn lane or a left turn lane, and four-foot to five-foot shoulders. Minor intersection improvements are also proposed at Lake Shore Drive (west), Glidden Road, and Lake Shore Drive (east) to improve access, safety, and sight distance.
This is a public meeting under RSA Chapter 91-A. The intent of the meeting is not to take testimony but rather to plan for the public hearing on the project to be held on Tuesday, Aug. 25, in Moultonborough.
