MEREDITH — The next Community Conversation series will focus on poverty and food insecurity.

“Poverty and food insecurity is more prevalent in our communities than many would think,” said Chairman Rick DeMark.

In an effort to bring this reality into better focus the Democratic Committees of Meredith, Center Harbor and New Hampton are hosting a Community Conversation on these topics at the Meredith Public Library on Wednesday, May 22, at 5:30 p.m. with refreshments. The program begins at 6 p.m.

Representatives from several local and state programs aimed at addressing poverty and food insecurity will speak about their efforts in our communities. Following the speakers, a conversation will be facilitated to encourage attendees to ask questions and make comments, DeMark said.
