CENTER HARBOR — The Center Harbor Hazard Mitigation Plan Committee is posting the draft Hazard Mitigation Plan 2021 for public review and comment. The committee is represented by a variety of local interests including the Fire, Police, and Highway departments, along with the Selectboard and Conservation Commission. The group has reviewed the various hazards that put Center Harbor at risk and developed more than 20 recommendations to mitigate these hazards and protect the safety and well being of town residents.
The draft Hazard Mitigation Plan will be available at the Town of Center Harbor’s website https://www.centerharbornh.org/. A hard copy will also be available at the Center Harbor Municipal Office, 36 Main Street, for review by appointment only (call 253-4561). Residents of Center Harbor and representatives from neighboring communities are encouraged to review and comment on the plan. The deadline for submission of comments is Monday, Jan. 25, at 4 p.m.
All comments should be submitted to either the Center Harbor Emergency Management Direct Tyler Driscoll chemd@atlanticbbn.net or David Jeffers, Regional Planner, Lakes Region Planning Commission djeffers@lakesrpc.org. Hard copy comments should be left at the Front Desk of the Municipal Office.
