LACONIA — Carey House occasionally receives monetary donations. They appreciate every donation, large or small. Recently, they received an envelope in the mail, postmarked Mid Island, NY. Inside the letter were three, $1 bills, enclosed in a “Cup of Noodles” wrapper. The envelope read, “Donations needed food/hygiene.” In honor of the donor, staff bought nine instant lunches with the donation. To those staying at Carey House, a bowl of soup can make all the difference.
