When technology, geography, and curiosity intersect at Inter‑Lakes Elementary School, a new kind of learning emerges: The electronic Touch Board. Sixth grade students created boards that play audio facts when touching a button or picture on the board. Students first researched facts about a country and its culture and then created accompanying pictures and audio sound bites. Sharing their boards with younger students, the sixth graders proudly encouraged learning to their third grade peers. Thanks to the collaborative efforts from ILES Computer Teacher Kat DeCamp and Library Media Specialist Andrea Caulder, the Touch Board is making a big world easier to navigate and understand.
