BELMONT ― The Belmont Public Library invites the community to take part in a full calendar of engaging programs this May, offering opportunities for creativity, learning, and connection for all ages.

Adults can enjoy weekly “Creative Conversations” programs, including Fiber Arts on Mondays at 10 a.m. and a Watercolor Workshop on Mondays at 2 p.m. Both are self-guided gatherings designed to foster creativity and conversation, with watercolor supplies provided.

For children and families, weekly Storytime will be held Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. for children under school age. Families are also invited to a Family Film Friday on May 1 at 3 p.m., featuring a movie and popcorn.

Additional youth programming includes Diamond Art Corner Bookmarks on Tuesday, May 26 from 3 to 5 p.m., recommended for ages 10 and up, while the supplies last.

The library’s popular book groups continue with a range of selections:

  • The Afternoon Book Group will meet on Thursday, May 14 at 4:30 p.m. to discuss “The Listeners” by Maggie Stiefvater
  • The Friday Fiction Book Group meets May 15 at 10:30 a.m. with “The Pearl That Broke Its Shell” by Nadia Hashimi
  • Mystery lovers can join the Mystery Book Group on Thursday, May 21 at 10 a.m. to discuss “The Guest List” by Lucy Foley
  • The Nonfiction Book Group will meet Friday, June 5 at 10:30 a.m. to discuss “When Breath Becomes Air” by Paul Kalanithi
  • Teens are welcome to join the Teen Book Club meeting on Thursday, May 28 at 4 p.m. to discuss “Cinder” by Marissa Meyer

Copies of each title are available at the library and some are available digitally through Libby or Hoopla.

The library will be closed on Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day.
