LACONIA — The children of Huasta, in the Andes of Peru, recently returned to school. Huasta House of Hope provided 145 backpacks filled every item they need for school, through support from the Lakes Region.
Each backpack contained age-appropriate supplies, and the children were thrilled to receive them. The cost for each backpack was $35.
There were another 95 children that Huasta House could not accommodate due to budget restraints, so donations are currently being sought. To donate, send a check to Huasta House of Hope, P.O. Box 662, Laconia, NH 03247 or visit huastahouseofhope.org.
