LACONIA — The Lakes Region Repeater Association will host its annual Ham Radio Field Day event, happening from 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 28 until 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 29, at Castle In the Clouds. This event serves as both a demonstration and a hands-on opportunity to experience the world of amateur radio.
Field Day is an opportunity for ham radio operators to showcase their skills, participate in simulated emergency situations, and promote public awareness about radio communications during disasters. It’s a great chance to see how ham radio serves as a vital form of communication when traditional networks fail.
