MIRROR LAKE — Community members should get their cowboy boots ready for the annual Cowboy Ball to benefit Granite State Adaptive. The evening will feature live music by the Eric Grant Band, a barbecue dinner, cash bar, an impressive silent auction, a giving tree and a selfie station with prizes.
The event is taking place on Thursday, June 23, at the Barn at The Inn on Main, 200 N. Main St., Wolfeboro. After two years of not being able to host the event, Granite State Adaptive is looking forward to reuniting with their supporters to celebrate the cause.
“We’re very excited about our Cowboy Ball event,” said Jen Fraser, founder and executive director of Granite State Adaptive. “Our annual fundraiser helps us to purchase specialized equipment, provide scholarships, and maintain our therapy horses.”
Granite State Adaptive provides individuals with disabilities, youth at risk, and veterans the opportunity to develop independence, confidence, life skills, and fitness through participation in sports, therapy, training, and recreation programs. “We provide year-round adaptive sports opportunities with cycling, snow sports and equine assisted activities and therapies,” said Fraser. “Outreach to our veterans and their families is an ongoing priority."
