MOULTONBOROUGH — Mark your calendars for Monday, Dec. 12, at noon, when AARP will be presenting “Cyber Safety: How to stay connected and protected.” Learn how to protect yourself this shopping season.

The internet is a goldmine for scam artists and the number of people who get caught in the scammer’s net grows every year. Older people are most at risk. Recently, a patron came to the library because she wanted help installing the virus protection that a pop-up screen was urging her to purchase. The pop-up was masquerading as being from Microsoft and our technology librarian was able to help her avoid falling for the scam.

Join the AARP NH's Speakers Bureau's free workshop at the Moultonborough Library and gain the tools you need to spot and avoid online fraud, and tips to protect yourself and your family. You’ll learn how to keep your information personal and secure when browsing the web.

To register for this or any of the library's programs, visit moultonboroughlibrary.org, and click on the Events and Programs tab. The library calendar will have all of the programs listed with descriptions and registration links if required.
