FRANKLIN — Franklin Opera House will hold its annual Murder Mystery Dessert Theatre with three performances on Oct. 24-26, and all proceeds benefit Franklin Opera House.

Members of Franklin Footlight Theatre share their talents in this event to benefit Opera House operations. The fun takes place at the Franklin Elks Lodge, where the Halloween party is in full swing. But real estate tycoon Roy “Takeover” Tackett has “crashed” the party and announced his plans to buy a local landmark business.

Afraid for his own safety, he has hired his own security detail.  His young bride, Bobbie, is upset to find that her former lover and ice dancing partner, Robbie, is among the guests. The “home office” has sent its best troubleshooter, Marshall Monroe, to head off disaster, but to no avail.

Spoiler alert: Someone dies. And the audience is enlisted to help identify the killer. Interacting with the characters, guests will try to figure out which one of them had the greatest motive for murder.

Tickets are limited and must be purchased by Sunday, Oct. 19. Performances Friday and Saturday start at 6:30 p.m. and a Sunday matinee will be at 2 p.m. Doors will open 30 minutes before showtime.
