GILFORD — The Turkey Shoot Out, which started in North Conway, recently took place at Winni Bar & Billiards, which is owned by Shawn and Wendy Feaster, along with Eric Walsh.

Each year the event draws between 25 to 65 players and pays anywhere between $600 to $1,000 to the players along with prizes. Shawn Feaster and Ron Boucher say the event’s biggest benefit is its positive impact on the community.

This year’s recipients received more than $1,000. Non-perishable food items were sent to the Reverence House in Laconia and St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry also in Laconia.

The event also raised over $200 for the Children’s Auction.

On Dec. 6, Winni Bar & Billiards and Tavern Players Magazine will hold their annual “Toys for Tots” tournament where players bring an unwrapped toy as part of their entry fee.
