LACONIA — Titeflex Aerospace, an STS Aerospace company and part of Smiths companies with a strong presence in New Hampshire's Lakes Region, have reinforced their commitment to youth STEM education through a donation of more than $24,000 to WinnAero, the Laconia Airport-based nonprofit dedicated to inspiring the next generation of innovators, engineers, and aviation professionals.
The contribution will fund tuition scholarships to support WinnAero's ongoing efforts to increase participation among groups traditionally underrepresented in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields.
The ACE Academies serve as WinnAero's flagship educational program, providing students with immersive, hands-on activities centered on aviation, aerospace, engineering, robotics, and other STEM disciplines. The camps are designed to spark curiosity and expose students to potential career paths in high-demand technical fields.
For Titeflex & Smiths, the investment represents more than a charitable contribution. As leading manufacturers serving the aerospace industry, the company recognizes the importance of developing future talent and encouraging broader participation in STEM-related careers right here in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire.
By supporting organizations such as WinnAero, local industry leaders are helping build a stronger pipeline of engineers, technicians, scientists, and aviation professionals while providing young people with meaningful opportunities to explore technology and innovation firsthand.
Parents and students interested in learning more about WinnAero and its ACE Academies can find additional information at winnaero.org.
