CONCORD — U.S. Small Business Administration opened nominations for its 2027 National Small Business Week Awards, which recognize exceptional small business owners from New Hampshire. SBA has recognized National Small Business Week since 1963. Each year, a business owner from New Hampshire is selected for the state Small Business Person of the Year award. The New Hampshire State award winner will compete for the 2027 National Small Business Person of the Year ― SBA’s signature award and the agency’s highest small business honor.
National Small Business Week will take place May 2-8, 2027.
“Driven by the economic momentum sweeping through our communities, a true renaissance is taking place across New England’s entrepreneurial ecosystem,” said Peter A. Steele, SBA New England regional administrator. “From our bustling neighborhood cafes and Main Street retail shops to our small manufacturers and industrial innovators that anchor our local supply chains, small businesses are the economic lifeblood of our region. National Small Business Week 2027 provides a high-visibility platform to showcase the grit, perseverance and success of our hard-working entrepreneurs on a national stage.”
SBA awards are open for nomination, including national awards and district level recognizing small businesses that are excelling in specific areas that contribute to American strength, innovation, and resilience. To view the categories, visit sba.gov/nsbw.
