LRCC to offer Toyota technician training

LACONIA — The Lakes Region Community College Automotive Program in conjunction with Toyota USA, welcomes a fleet of eight new vehicles from the Toyota T-TEN Dollar-Sale Program. Through LRCC's newly signed partnership with Toyota USA and Toyota-Lexus Dealerships, the college was able to purchase a 2015 Toyota Camry SE to be used by faculty and staff for recruitment.

LRCC will begin offering the Toyota Technician Training and Education Program in late August 2017, which will provide intensive technician training by combining state-of-the-art automotive diagnosis and repair education in the classroom with hands-on work experience in dealership settings through paid internships. LRCC is among only 36 institutions across the nation offering the program.

With the addition of the program, the automotive department has welcomed instructor Scott Ellis of Bow as the lead instructor. Ellis is a T-TEN program graduate and comes to LRCC with 25 years' experience as a Toyota and Lexus master technician.

"I am most excited about being able to give back by training future technicians" said Ellis.
