MEREDITH — Golden View Health Care Center will join hundreds of nonprofits across the state in participating in NH Gives, New Hampshire’s largest day of giving, from 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, through 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10. Golden View’s NH Gives campaign will focus on raising funds for a new wheelchair-accessible van.

Organized by the New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits, NH Gives is a statewide online fundraising event that helps raise awareness and critical funding for nonprofit organizations like Golden View.

“Our wheelchair-accessible van was purchased in 2008, and has served us well over the years,” said Frank Vignand, Golden View’s director of resident and community relations. “However, the time has come to upgrade to a new van so we can continue going on trips around the community. Our residents love going on shopping trips, to theaters, concerts, sporting events, picnics in the park, and more. They especially enjoy going out during motorcycle week and seeing the bikes go by.”

“There is incredible momentum behind NH Gives,” said Kathleen Reardon, chief executive officer of the NH Center for Nonprofits. “A record number of nonprofits are participating this year, because NH Gives works. It helps organizations reach new supporters, strengthen existing donor relationships, and shine a spotlight on the essential role nonprofits play in every New Hampshire community.”

Donations made during NH Gives may also help organizations like Golden View qualify for incentive prizes, matching gifts, and challenge funds throughout the 24-hour campaign.
