LACONIA — Registration is open for the 21st annual HK Powersports Land & Lake Poker Run on Saturday, July 9, to benefit Easterseals NH. Participants will travel by boat, car, or other vehicle to different checkpoints on and around Lake Winnipesaukee to collect sealed playing cards and bring them to The NASWA Resort in Laconia, where they’ll receive their final card, reveal their hand, and close out the day there with a beach party featuring a live auction, raffles, a hot buffet, and music and entertainment for all ages.
“This festive summer event gives everyone the opportunity to get outside and enjoy the iconic Lakes Region while supporting the work we do at Easterseals to help New Hampshire neighbors of all ages and abilities,” said Maureen Beauregard, president and CEO of Easterseals NH. “We appreciate the tremendous generosity of the participants, sponsors and volunteers who make our Poker Run such a success. Since inception, the event has raised $1.3 million for Easterseals NH programs.”
“My family and I are proud to be the title sponsor of this fun event,” said Lisa Whalley, general manager of event presenter HK Powersports in Laconia. “Not only does it showcase Lake Winnipesaukee and the many ways to enjoy the Lakes Region in the summer, but it brings together hundreds of people to benefit Easterseals NH.”
Cash prizes will be awarded for the best hand for land and the best for lake. Grand Prizes to be raffled off include a SeaDoo personal watercraft, a Saber grill, and an Old Towne canoe and kayak. Those who pre-register by July 1 will receive an extra grand prize raffle ticket (a $10 value).
Registration is open and raffle tickets are available for purchase online at https://www.easterseals.com/nh/get-involved/events/land-lake-poker-run.html.
Check-in for the Poker Run starts at 9 a.m. at all checkpoints on land and water, and the event officially starts at 10:30 a.m. The party at The NASWA Resort’s NazBar begins at 1 p.m. and the deadline for turning in collected cards is 1:30 p.m.
