The public have been urged to "walk like a penguin" to avoid falling on ice or snow in an hilarious NHS video.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde have reminded people of their winter guidance in the wake of Storm Goretti.
The technique involves walking like a penguin - arms extended and waddling slowly - to keep your centre of gravity over your feet and reduce the risk of falls.
A video was shared on their social media, showing three NHS staff members demonstrating the walk around hospital grounds.
The advice is aimed to prevent falls in over 65s - however, it can be applied more generally to keep people safe on the ice.
Laura Halcrow, Falls Prevention Lead at NHSGGC, said: “One third of over-65s and half of over-80s experience a fall every year, and winter conditions like wet or icy weather can increase that risk.
“Walking on ice can be tricky because it’s hard to keep your balance.
"Even a small slip can lead to painful injuries such as sprains, fractures, or head injuries.

"Take short, flat-footed steps, keep your weight over your feet, and point your toes slightly outwards.
"It might feel funny, but this technique helps maintain balance and can prevent slips that lead to serious injuries.
“Other tips include staying active (even around the house), wearing footwear suited to the weather, giving your walking aid an ‘MOT’, getting your eyes tested and speaking to your pharmacist about any medicines that might affect your balance.
"These can all help you continue doing the things you love while reducing your risk of falling.
"Take two minutes to find a waddle buddy, have a laugh, and stay safe together.”
