A NASA astronaut pulled off a humorous visual trick as a supply craft neared the orbital platform on Monday, April 13.

Jessica Meir, a NASA astronaut currently on the International Space Station (ISS), snapped pictures of her colleagues as they observed the spacecraft from the cupola viewing windows.

She posted congratulations on social media to NASA spacemen Chris Williams and Jack Hathaway, who are part of Expedition 74 and 75.

In one picture Williams appears to be holding the cargo ship between his fingers by employing a clever optical illusion of scale.

Meir wrote: “Congratulations to @Astro_ChrisW and @astro_hathaway on their first cargo vehicle arriving at the @Space_Station.”

One X user commented: "I will never not be amazed at how this has become such a normal thing now. Sending cargo from the ground to catch up with the ISS, so that we can continue to live and work in space," while another joked "Hopefully it’s carrying your favorite Space snacks."
