LACONIA — The Lakes Region Interfaith Prayer Breakfast Committee will host this year’s event at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 7, at St. Andre Bessette Parish Hall, 31 Gilford Ave. Held in conjunction with the National Day of Prayer, this year’s event has adopted the theme: “Faith, Prayer and the Founding Fathers.”
Following a buffet breakfast, served from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m., a program will run from 8:15 to 9:30 a.m. featuring keynote speaker Robert Dunn, director of public policy for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Manchester. The program topic will be “The Moral Vision of the Declaration.”
Advanced tickets are available through local faith communities, at the St. Andre Bessette Parish office at 277 Union Ave., or by contacting Chris Ray at 603-528-2920 or crayjr@gmail.com. Tickets may also be purchased at the door.
Proceeds from the breakfast will be donated to the Hands Across the Table a free weekly meal offering, and NH Catholic Charities.
