GILFORD — Earlier this year, Gilford Community Church hired Melissa Beale as administrative assistant, a role for which she expressed excitement.
“I am thoroughly enjoying my time here,” she said. “Everyone has been wonderful and graciously welcomed me into this great community.”
Prior to joining GCC, Beale had worked in banking and, most recently, for a local mortgage mortgage company from her home. The opportunity to work outside her home at GCC was an important factor in her desire to apply for the job.
“The days and hours worked well with my family’s schedule, and I liked the church’s open and welcoming philosophy,” she said.
Pastor Michael Graham said they also appreciate Beale’s “wonderfully welcoming philosophy,” which he noted is important because she is “the first person many people meet when they stop by the office or call.”
“She’s been a tremendous asset, well-received and respected by everyone,” he said. “We are delighted she joined our staff.”
Located in Gilford, Gilford Community Church is an inclusive, open community with a broadly ecumenical spirit that welcomes people from all denominational and cultural backgrounds. Viewable live on YouTube, services take place at 10 a.m. on Sundays at 19 Potter Hill Road.
