LACONIA — On March 21, 2026, Kimberlee “Kim" "Nannie” Lemoine, 55, passed away surrounded by her family at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, after a sudden and rapid illness.
Born Feb. 7, 1971, in Concord, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of Jeannea “Jean" "Jeannie” Lemoine and Francis Lemoine.
Kim was a graduate from Laconia High School in 1989. After high school, she traveled with several of her closest friends to South Carolina for a short time, before returning to Laconia where she received her associates degree from Lakes Region Community College.
Kim’s greatest joy in life was seeing others happy. Her smile was contagious. She had the power like no other to take complete strangers and turn them into friends. She was always involved in planning events and making sure everyone had a good time. She was a long-standing member of Pine Haven Campground, where she was known for being outgoing and social among the hundreds of campers. There wasn’t a single camp member whom she couldn’t tell you the life story of.
Her children, James and Zachary, as well as two grandchildren, Griffin and Alden Dearborn, were the light of her life. Raising her children wasn’t always easy, but she made sure they had the best childhood possible. She never missed the opportunity to chaperone a school trip. She was “Den Mother” for all the years Zachary was in Boy Scouts, and “Team Mom” throughout all the various sports James played. She was always the first to call on birthdays and holidays, and always had a talent for picking the best and most thoughtful gifts. Her eyes and smile would glow bright as she watched her family open the presents she’d personally picked for each of them.
Her grandchildren, who knew her as “Nannie,” adored every moment spent with her. Sleepovers were a regular event, along with going to camp with her and Troy “Trot-Trot.” Becoming a grandmother and watching her children grow into adults gave her a sense of pride that could not be contained. She took every opportunity to be with her family and to keep them involved in her regular activities.
She was predeceased by her parents, grandparents, several aunts and uncles, the father of her children James “Jamie” Dearborn, and by several close friends that she considered as family, including Mary Boden.
She is survived by her partner of 20 years, Troy “Trot-Trot” Miller; her eldest son James (Miranda), parents of her two great grandchildren, Griffin and Alden Dearborn; and her youngest son, Zachary (Jonathan) Dearborn.
A celebration of life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, at the Rod & Gun Club, 358 S. Main St. Guests are encouraged to wear purple, as that was her favorite color. This will be a potluck event, so please feel free to bring food.
Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home & Cremation Services/603Cremations.com, 164 Pleasant St., is assisting the family with arrangements. For more information and to view an online memorial, visit wilkinsonbeane.com.
