GILFORD — Hope Ministries, First United Methodist Church of Gilford, welcomes its new pastor, Rev. Nami Yu, and will host a celebration of her arrival and the church’s life together with regular worship on Sunday, Sept. 10, at 10:30 a.m.
The church is located at 18 Wesley Way, off Route 11A near the bypass. Nursery care is provided. All are welcome to attend.
Yu is originally from In-Cheon, South Korea, where she studied at Seoul Theological University and worked in Korean Holiness Church as a Sunday school minister for many years.
After arriving in Boston in 2012, she studied at Boston University School of Theology, where she earned her master of divinity degree. She has served churches in Massachusetts and Vermont.
Nami is interested in nurturing disciples and comforting isolated and marginalized people.
Hope Ministries is an open and inclusive church.Â
