MOULTONBOROUGH — The New Hampshire Boat Museum, in partnership with The Lake Estate in Tilton, is now offering cruises on Lake Winnisquam aboard the Miss Lauren, a 28-foot, mahogany triple cockpit “woodie.”
The 90-minute cruises provide passengers with an opportunity to experience Lake Winnisquam from the deck of a handcrafted wooden runabout, a style of boat that became synonymous with New Hampshire's lakes during the early and mid-20th century. Built for both performance and craftsmanship, these classic mahogany boats remain “icons of American recreational boating” and continue to be admired for their distinctive design and enduring legacy.
“Classic wooden boats represent an important chapter in New Hampshire's freshwater boating history,” said Devon Kurtz, NHBM executive director. “They showcase a remarkable level of craftsmanship and innovation, and we are excited to be able to offer this experience to everyone.”
Cruises depart from The Lake Estate on Winnisquam in Tilton, a luxury waterfront resort and spa, and are available by advance reservation.
