MEREDITH — The staff and associates of RE/MAX Bayside will welcome the holiday season by reminding their neighbors that they are once again participating in the Toys for Tots program. “We feel very strongly about helping to make this holiday season special for the youth in our area,” said Managing Broker, Travis P. Cole.
This past year, the Toys for Tots program distributed 19 million toys to 7.3 million children in 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. This year the organization is celebrating its 75th anniversary. Since 1947 the Marine Corps and Toys for Tots have been making a difference in the lives of American families. It’s considered one of the top-rated charities, with 97% of donations going to toys, books and other gifts to less fortunate children. Three percent is spent on support to cover fundraising expenses. Not one donated dollar goes to pay for salaries or any other manpower costs.
