GILFORD — The Gilford Community Church will host their next Gals’ Night Out program on Friday, Oct. 2 at 6 p.m.
Come have a gossip with the apothecary’s wife over the counter of Chillingsworth Apothecary, a fictional shop representative of medical practice in Elizabethan England. Mistress Chillingsworth will display wares such as “oil of earthworm” and “swallow brains” while reminiscing about the plague and explaining the busy practice of a London apothecary. The evening is presented by Penelope O’Connor, assistant director of Perform It! Stage Company.
A delicious meal will be catered by Ellie Murphy, and any interested men are welcome to join as well.
