LACONIA — Liz Swenson has been selected as the 2025 Realtor of the Year for the Lakes Region Board of REALTORS. Last year’s recipient Sara Holland presented the award on June 3 at the organization’s awards ceremony and meeting. This award is based on the accomplishments of many contenders, their contributions to the community and his/her conduct of business reflecting the Code of Ethics of the National Association of REALTORS.

Originally from southern New Hampshire, Swenson and her family have resided in the Lakes Region for more than 34 years. She is a shining example of honesty, integrity, hard work and performance throughout her 35+ year career as a realtor. Her many contributions include tireless committee involvement, energetic leadership, and a dedication to helping improve life in our community.

The Lakes Region Board of REALTORS plans to submit Swenson and her qualifications to the New Hampshire Association of REALTORS’ statewide competition for the State REALTOR Of the Year, which will be announced in September.

Swenson is affiliated with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Verani Realty. She is a graduate of the REALTOR Institute, a certified residential specialist, a member of the BHHS Honor Society, and a BHHS Verani Realty Achiever of the Year. She has been a dedicated member of Lakes Region Board of REALTORS Board of Directors and active member of many committees.

Also recognized was the 2025 Affiliate of the Year Lauren Young from Supreme Lending.

Presented by the 2024 Affiliate of the Year Wendy Bagley, Young earned this award for being an outstanding example of dedication to her career, her community and her follow workers.

Lou E’Allesandro, former New Hampshire state senator, was recognized by long-time member George Lamprey, as this year’s honorary member.

Throughout his 50+ year career, E’Allesandro has served the Lakes Region, Granite State, and the real estate industry with dedication and cooperation.
