William Repasy: Civilizations rise, fall, collapse; cycle repeated throughout human history

It's about who can be more stupid.

For decades, one team has espoused collectivist policies, always hiding their true intent. The other team has always rebuked them yet accepted their so-called "moral high ground" piece by piece — because they have no philosophical depth and no intestinal fortitude.

Now it is no longer about anything other than teams, one outpacing the other in stupidity every day.

Civilizations rise and fall — collapse. A cycle repeated throughout human history. This is not new or dramatic, it just is. If we can forthrightly look at our location in the grand scheme of human events — our comforts, our abundance and our liberty, we cannot fail to see just how truly lucky we have been.

Neither side will win. We all lose, another civilization will try again, out of our dust, in the distant future.
