To The Daily Sun,
I am supporting Kurt Webber to be our next senator in District 2 to represent the towns of Ashland, Belmont, Campton, Center Harbor, Gilford, Holderness, Laconia, Meredith, New Hampton, Sanbornton, Sandwich and Thornton. Kurt is an Eagle Scout, a West Point graduate, a retired Army officer, and a longtime volunteer in this community. That record tells me he leads with integrity and puts people over politics, exactly what we need in Concord.
Our current senator, Tim Lang, chairs the Senate committee that writes our state's tax policy. Under his watch, property taxes raised across our district's towns have climbed 25% since 2022. Every single town's taxes have increased. He voted no on the Lower Property Taxes Act and no on more state aid for schools, voted yes on a bill that cut state education funding further.
We deserve a senator who will actually bring relief, not just talk about it. Kurt Webber will fight to make the state pay its fair share instead of leaving our towns to cover the gap.
