To The Daily Sun,
I would just like to remind readers that letters to the editor are opinions (usually of people with agendas or gripes), and not necessarily factual. The "facts" encased in the letters ("most rich slave owners became destitute ... without compensation," or "the only obvious apparent systemic racism ... is in Democrat-controlled cities" or "many slaves benefited from learning marketable skills" are either scant and selective, or outright false. We should read these words and think at the same time, kind of like tasting your food rather than just wolfing it down.
