To The Daily Sun,
It's amazing no matter how well published, time broadcast on TV and radio seems some folks just don't get the word. For example, David Miller wrote here in The Sun on Dec. 2 that the right to keep and bear arms is not an individual right but only the rights of states. He then goes on and on about it. I guess he missed what was earth-shaking news to gun control folks, the Supreme Court ruled the right to keep and bear arms is an individual right.
Now under our Constitution when a question like this comes to our Supreme Court, whatever decision they decide that's it. Game, set, match.
Readers know, at least most of them, this decision was not popular by some and here and there one state or city or another have tried to work around this but every time they try the courts again confirmed it. It's as if they are trying to say and convince people that the clear and simple words in the Second Amendment do not mean what they say. It's like they are trying to woke the law.
Some people have tried to change this by attempting all kinds of clever devices like banning braces on pistols or size/capacity of magazines, etc., but even these fail. Other diehards insist the arms mentioned are restricted to muskets. Not so because the word "arms," by definition, is any weapon that can be used to attack or defend with so even so called assault rifles clearly fall under this description. End of argument.
