To The Daily Sun,

I feel reassured and comforted by this past winter weather being more typical of New England. We had enough snow for skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and dog sled races. The lakes were frozen over for ice fishing, ice pond hockey, skating, and the all important lake turn-over. When people think they can predict future weather patterns, God is still in control, not us.

That being said, spring is here, even with all its blustery fits and starts. I would like to offer up a spring prayer for everyone who yearns for warmer weather and nature to wake up and burst forth in all its glory:

Oh Lord our God, our Creator, Savior, Provider, and Healer, we plant our little mustard seeds of faith in your garden, water them with our prayers, and fertilize them with our trust in you.

Our Master Gardener, Jesus Christ, we pray that you help us to not allow the bitter roots of judgment from the past, present, or future to choke out the hope and joy of eternal salvation you have planted in us.

We ask you for patience and peace to allow you to grow our faith into mighty trees beside your living water. Amen.
