To The Daily Sun,
The evening of October 18, the choral groups from Belmont High School and Belmont Middle School were accompanied by the Concord Community School in a 35 minute production of "Te Deum." The entirety of the presentation was in Latin. It was heartening to see two schools' choral groups work collaboratively with the Concord Community School orchestra.
Furthermore, it was a delight to see this wonderful cultural event taking place in one of our small towns. Scott Lounsbury, the chorus director for Belmont Middle and High School and all of the students from Belmont are to be commended on their fine performance. It is not often that the public is treated to a piece of music and song from the late 1600s. It was pure joy and I thank the Belmont schools for providing the public with a taste truly beautiful music for the evening.
