To The Daily Sun,
Today I am giving thanks to a wonderful young man who has restored my faith in the goodness of this world.
Yesterday I lost my cellphone. The only places I had been were picking up a friend and going to Gilford for my weekly friendship club meeting. On the way I decided to grab a paper near Leavitt Park.
When I got to my meeting, I realized I didn’t have my phone but figured it was somewhere in my car. When I left my meeting I looked in my car, but no luck.
When I got home, my husband helped me search the car again and looked throughout our home. We drove back to my friend’s home and to the Gilford church but again no luck.
I was devastated when I started to remember all the information I had lost, photos, addresses and phone numbers to name a few.
Yes, I am totally reliant on my iPhone.
Later when my husband went to get us pizza for dinner, I stayed home.
While he was gone, someone rang my doorbell and there was my hero at the door and asking “did you lose your phone?” He had my precious phone in his hand and gave it to me as I broke down in tears. He explained finding it near Leavitt Park where he had observed a couple of people kick it into the ditch. He went and picked it up and without the password figured out my location, and then brought it to me.
I asked his name, he gave it. I should have written it down, so in my excitement I now have forgotten. He works for a restoration company and today he restored my faith in the goodness of people.
