To The Daily Sun,
I would like to begin by saying how much I appreciate everyone who turned out to vote for the primary election. This election is very important if we want to move the city forward into the future. We need new ideas in order to build a foundation for a strong future for our children and grandchildren. I firmly believe that we can do this by using strong conservative principles, specifically in the area of public safety, lower taxes, building investment in the city by private business, improving our schools, and protecting parent rights with school choice.
We have a choice this November. We can continue on the same path with ever-rising tax payments, no real growth for the city and ever-increasing growth in government. Alternatively, readers can vote in a candidate who has integrity, honesty and the willingness to listen and work for the citizens, fight to lower taxes, cut spending, reduce the size of government, and support our first responders. We can address the homeless issue, crime, quality of life issues, and an ever-increasing school budget while cutting taxes and reducing the size of government by conducting an audit on every department and find the bloat that exists, usually in upper management positions, and put more workers in the field. This is happening in other cities who are also dealing with similar issues and conservative principles are proven to work.
This General Election on Nov. 4 is so important for our future, to determine what direction we want the city to move toward. I am that candidate for Ward 1 city council.
