Michael Breen: The current power and threat of propaganda in America

I had a loved one in my family who took her belief in the Nazi "stab in the back" theory to her death in her 90s. Like so many others, she grew up in Germany in the day of the global common intellectual acceptance of eugenics (some "races" now understood as ethnicities) being superior to others. In Germany in this time, eugenics was allied with the "stab-in-the-back" theory. (The Adolf Hitler belief that Germany’s World War I achievable victory was sabotaged by inferior “Jews.”) Although aware of and never defending Nazi atrocities, this easily demonstrable false claim remained her unshakable explanation for how they occurred. In sum in her view, if Germany had won WWI ... Germany’s participation in WWII never would have occurred. Paraphrased differently, this belief suggested that “the Jews” caused WWII thus its 40 to 85 million deaths.

History’s lesson relative to the power of expert propaganda is as clear as it is pertinent today. There are many Americans who will remain willfully ignorant of Barack Obama’s treasonous conduct while on his road toward totalitarianism. Despite overwhelming evidence (see documents via Imprimis magazine, John Solomon’s “Just the news,” and Congressional testimony) otherwise well intended citizens have been emotionally manipulated so severely in the Democrat’s version of Plato’s cave, they can no longer grasp objective truths. This evidence is just one example of the multiple fronts in which America is still threatened by a propaganda laden, racist, and violent ideology.
