Michael Breen: President Donald Trump just shot the Iranian rabid dog

What to do with a rabid dog? "If I had my druthers, I would have used my shotgun," was Atticus Finch's (Gregory Peck's) comment after he shot a rabid dog threatening lives in his neighborhood (“To Kill a Mockingbird”). I took his meaning as he would have preferred to have made absolutely sure he did not miss the dog and that he should have ensured that he killed it immediately so the rabid dog had no chance to escape. Gregory Peck would have preferred that the sick dog be captured and cured ... but there was a high risk to humans and there was no cure. So sadly, he shot and killed the dog.

The Ayatollah Khomeini and his mullas are our neighborhood's rabid dogs. They and their proxies have killed incalculable Americans and other nationalities alike for over 40 years. They have captured, raped, beheaded children in front of parents, parents in front of children, etc. Khomeini's lifelong goal was to murder the nations of Israel and the United States. He and his terrorists’ sycophants have said it hundreds of times including on their own Parliament floor. The entire Middle East wants to end these endless acts of terrorism, especially now.

Khomeini is 86 — at the end of his life, and his long-sought-after nuclear weapons to realize his life’s goal are just about in his grasp. He was given every chance to help his prisoner citizenry by stepping away from his insane envy and bitterness. He has steadfastly refused.

Donald Trump just shot the rabid dog — Khomeini’s capacity for a nuclear holocaust in the United States and/or in Israel. Thanks to President Trump. Let’s continue to work for peace as this lesson resonates with the Ayatollah and other potential “rabid dogs.”
