Marc Abear: Lack of sympathy for Charlie Kirk incites further violence

The Democratic Party, the Left has floated narratives to spread confusion about who or what was responsible for the Charlie Kirk shooting. They’ve said there was no motive ... MAGA people did it ... President Donald Trump himself was the catalyst. It was a “love story” between the shooter and his trans boy/girl friend filled with emotional turmoil. We cannot get away from the examples. 

Rep. Ilhan Omar and said he sort of deserved what he got. Then she doubled down on it with great vehemence saying he was a racist and every day of his life, had been espousing hatred for people like her.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, not to be outdone, said something to the effect, "I’m not gonna be in a position where I have to support Charlie Kirk’s legacy."

Rep. Jasmine Crockett said she’s angry there were only two Caucasians who refused.

But the point is the House has a tradition, when major political or media figures are gunned down, to express empathy.

When in Minnesota recently, the speaker of the Legislature and her husband were gunned down by an angry abortion advocate who wounded another legislator and his spouse, the House expressed their sympathy and outrage; condemning the shooting with a vote of 424-0. Every Republican went on record condemning the act and expressing sympathy to the families.

All that mattered was the horrific act. Everybody felt bad for the families and was outraged anybody used violence for political purposes.

All the partisans; Reps. Crockett, Omar, Ocasio-Cortez, should just show a little sympathy. Put away the politics for a few minutes. They're failing the basic human test. When they’ve quoted Kirk, they’ve misquoted him. When Charlie Kirk encountered racists, left or right, he opposed them. Someone here is inciting division and violence. It wasn’t Charlie Kirk.
