To The Daily Sun,

Recently, President Donald Trump called U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) a traitor after she demanded that the Epstein files be released. Greene, once his most loyal advocate, now says she fears for hers and her family’s safety. Trump’s words have consequence. He and his advisers know it and defend him each time he ups the violent rhetoric.

Most recently he called six U.S. Congress members, including New Hamp[shire’s Maggie Goodlander, traitors, adding in a social media post: "SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH!" He also reposted a call for their hanging.

These six Congressional members also fear for their safety, but are not backing down. They are continuing their call to members of the military to refuse to obey illegal commands that would violate their oath to the U.S. Constitution.

They said in a press release:

“We are veterans and national security professionals who love this country and swore an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States ... No threat, intimidation, or call for violence will deter us from that sacred obligation.

“Every American must unite and condemn the President’s calls for our murder and political violence. This is a time for moral clarity.

“In these moments, fear is contagious, but so is courage. We will continue to lead and will not be intimidated."

Let’s follow the example of our six Congressional members and publicly condemn violent political speech and demand our community, state and national leaders do the same now before it is too late for them and all of us.
