To The Daily Sun,

It doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to figure out that people reject Jesus Christ. Just last month the controversy with the nativity scene in Concord and Satanists threatening a lawsuit if they couldn't put up their Baphomet statue beside it. Neither is Jesus welcome in public schools or public libraries, especially around Christmas and Easter. Many times readers have heard his name used to curse, as well. Satan, Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny did not suffer and die for their sins, and yet they praise and worship them?

Christians are persecuted, threatened, tortured and even killed for their faith in Jesus worldwide, and still persist despite all these things. Over two billion of us in fact. I guess that's frustrating to them. So, why do people reject Jesus? Just a couple of theories, either they think they don't need a savior because they are good enough on their own. However, at five sins a day, in one year that is 1,825 sins to pay for. Not to mention all of us have lied at the very least. Or they fear being socially rejected and/or are concerned more about their social status than where they will spend their eternal life, not knowing the exact time and day they will die.

Jesus suffered and died to pay for readers' sins. He is offering them eternal life insurance for free, and yet when they reject him they are basically saying they will take their chances that when they die, that there is no eternal punishment for those sins in the place called hell. They pay hundreds of dollars for other insurances because maybe something might happen and it's nice to be covered, but they'll reject free insurance from Jesus? When Jesus returns, those who rejected him will wish they didn't.
